Description

Map by LOLimNyarlathotep

Corinthian - This continent is home to the rugged landscape that houses many nasty beasties, as it did Pre-War. Corinthian is located where Australia would be Pre-Apocalypse, and is also the sight of the head of the Church of Hydrogen* in its capital, Orange Juice. Along with the church, Corinthian is also seen as a refuge for Anthro (Animalistic) Inhumans, who are commonly ridiculed or looked down upon more so than other intelligent species in the new world. This continent is built on the mining industry, mostly mining for metals to trade with the other more industrialized continents, such as Leveticai and Genesi.

Exodun - Known Pre-War as "North America," Exodun, much like many of the continents, is not very urbanized. The capital of Exodun is located around the area where New York once was, now known as Babylon. The main source of income for this city is trade with other continents (the land here is not as Radioactive as the more central area, and therefore is pretty good for farming, in exchange for things like sea food and materials like metals and certain fuels), but is also home to one of the only functioning brothels with a "Freakshow" attraction, which does indeed attract people from other continents. Along with radiation levels being heavy toward the center of the continent, Exodun also has some of the more extreme climate zones, such as the Tundra, Mountains, and Swinger*-infested forests. Babylon is one of the only places to establish trade with Psalms.

Genesi - Located off of Leveticai, right about where the British Isles and a few other European countries might have been, Genesi is the second most urbanized and industrialized continents. It is home to the source of most sweets in the black market*, such as ice cream or Pre-War candies. It is also very low in Rifts and radiation, thought it is hard to farm, and thus is not as densely populated as industrial Leveticai. The jewelry business thrives in this dreary area.

Leveticai - A very steampunk industrial world, which takes up most of the land around Europe and Asia, is the largest urbanized area in the new world, and is also one of the only ones that does not have a church-run government. Leveticai is home to the business's most dangerous webs of organized crime; everything from drug processing to human trafficking, and the occasional slave chain. This continent is run by the crimelords of the world, and does not have very many beasts to scare off the locals. The most technologically advanced continent, Leveticai was the first to establish a Tainted-Cure Research Facility, or a "T-Lab," and has come far in fields such as science and medicine, for the right price.

Psalms - The "Las Vegas" of the world, Psalms is nearly the entire continent of Pre-War South America. With some of the lowest levels of radiation, but highest levels of Riftian species, this continent is actually very isolated in terms of trade and affiliation with other continents. Most of this area's money comes from exactly what you would expect by now; tourism. People of the upper and middle class come from all around to see the natural beauty of the colorful Riftian plants, and swim in the low-radiation water (low as in basically no radiation, thank goodness), as well as partake of the food and drink that is only available here, such as Hey Juice* and Pre-War seafood. Psalms is home to many sapient Riftian species as well, such as the Warrior tribes of Cayo Santiago (an island off the coast). Psalms does not like to associate with Leveticai for fear of industrial take over and crime infecting their party, but some independent dealers make big money with some of the "resources" that are exclusive to more rural parts of the Vegas continent.

Revolat - The least-populated continent in the world aside from the unnamed Russian area, Revolat has one of the highest levels of radiation. Due to this, the only areas that are habitable are walled off from the irradiated creatures of the land, such as Conglomerates* and Fleshcrawlers*. Living here is rather difficult, and as such, the area is not very metropolitan, certainly not as urban as Genesi or Corinthian. The amount of Tainted* and Inhuman* creatures here makes it a place with one of the highest church-to-village ratios of any of the continents; the Purifiers* from this area are trained like the military to protect the trade industry that goes through the continent (mostly going through to get to another continent). The alarming amount of dangerous fauna here has made Revolat the location for the next T-Lab.

The Protoplasmic Sea - This ocean is exactly what it sounds like; a large pool of radioactive jelly. Sea travel is not a very good way to travel, especially in areas like this, where anything that actually manages to live is out to kill.

The Abyssal Ocean - This body of water is home to many deep-sea creatures, and is actually much safer to navigate than the Protoplasmic Sea or the Leviathan because of the lack of upper-level creatures. Most of the animals here tend to keep to themselves.

The Leviathan - The Leviathan is more of a legendary place, but no one tends to go here; their are stories of Reglamorphs (creatures that seem to have no end) that stalk these waters.

**

*Rifts - The Rifts are places that seem to rip the very fabric of space and time to make bridges to other worlds; this is where more alien species of flora and fauna (such as the Warrior tribes of Psalms and creatures like Buppies and Fleshcrawlers) come from.

*Wars - The Wars refer to the battles that were fought by Angels and Demons (Which will be further explained in Creatures of the New World), which destroyed much of the world but also paved the way to a new one. There is a large generation gap between Pre-War and Post-War generations, and most of the new generation (nowadays are marked at the mid-sixties generation) does not remember anything Pre-War aside from bits and pieces that are left over.

*Church of Hydrogen - After the wars, the religious aspects of our world changed; no longer was there Christianity, Buddhism, Atheism, Hinduism, etc. (except for the small groups that still practice such religions), but up sprouted a new form of worship; worship in science. But not traditional Scientology or anything like that; the celestial beings that had torn the land asunder and created a new order seem to have a sort of correlation with the Periodic Table that we all know and love, the "Apex Celestials" being Hydrogen, Uranium, and Sulfur. The church of Hydrogen is the most well-known, but other churches (Sulfuric, the congregation for Noble Gasses, etc.) also exist.

*Swinger - Creature that will later be explained in Creatures of the New World.

*black market - The black market is a method of trade for the upper class, and has many Pre-War goodies such as candies, clothing, or technology like television (for playing pre-recorded movies, of course) and electricity generators. On the other end, it can also be a network where one might acquire Riftian curios, such as Redvine (the equivalent to marijuana from Psalmsonian Rifts) or rare gems that aren't of our world.

*Hey Juice - An elixir made from the leaves of the Redvine plants on Psalms (a Riftian species, mind you), Hey Juice is the equivalent to marijuana Ecstasy in a liquid form, but without most of the medical consequences. The flavor of the juice is much like the sweeter spices found in rum. It is exclusive to Psalms and can be mixed with drinks if you ask for it "Island Style."

*Conglomerate - A beast born of the moss engineered by the T-Labs known simply as "Test A-47," Conglomerates are... to be described in Creatures of the New World

*Fleshcrawler - See: Creatures of the New World
*Tainted - See: Creatures of the New World
*Inhuman - See: Creatures of the New World
